Have you noticed the vast amount of coverage on the TV lately about loneliness? So many folk, old and young in our communities are facing long days without conversation. We have a range of activities across the Circuit to which we could easily invite folk to just to ease that isolation. 
Why not offer to take a neighbour to something? (for lunches it might be wise to phone first – but I am sure you will be made very welcome!!)

“Love is key to it all”
A six-week Bible Study course that looks at love as the key which unlocks the door of faith. It begins by exploring a statement of faith at its simplest – ‘God is love’ and moves on to our response, both in terms of loving God and loving others. At The Kitchen Café, Norton - Thursday mornings 10-11.30am
begining on Thurs 9th May





Worship & Lunch
There will be No Worship and Lunch at the Wesley Centre until after Easter (date to be confirmed) as it would clash with our Lent Lunches at Wells Lane.


Space to Pray will meet at Norton Trinity,  
1st Wednesday each month 1.30 - 2.15pm. Pop in and enjoy a short time of quiet, reflection, prayer and fellowship. All Welcome.

Coffee every Saturday morning at Malton Wesley Centre, 10 -12 noon. Come for a chat when you've done your shopping!

Sat 25th  DIGITAL TRAINING SESSION.
The session will start at 9.45 and finish by 12 noon. Norton Trinity Methodist Church. Elliot Crippen the district’s digital communications enabler will be coming to the circuit. Please think of all your questions for Elliot. It would help him if you can let me know what they are and if you are able to come (for an idea of numbers). Ann Thomas

am.  COFFEE MORNING AND BRIC-A-BRAC SALE The Wesley Centre, Malton is hosting a bumper fund-raising coffee morning, together with the Ryedale Free Fridge.  It coincides with Malton's biggest annual event, The Food Lover's Festival. The Wesley Centre is also looking for volunteers to assist on concert evenings in June and July (see below) and also to help distribute handbills outside the Church on Saturday 25 May; if you have some time to spare either on the 25th, or on one or both concert evenings (including free admission to the concerts) please get in touch with Paul Emberley at paul.emberley@btinternet.com

7.30pm.   ASCENSION DAY. The Ryedale Circuit Ascension Day service. Kirkbymoorside Methodist Church led by Tony and Fiona deBoltz. Churches will be giving out 2 booklets for you to use between Ascension Day and Pentecost. You may like to use them on your own or meet with someone else to pray together for those 9 days.  Let us all pray for God's Kingdom to come in us and through us; for specific people and places;  and for the Holy Spirit to come in power to us all. 9:30am to 5:30pm. CREAM TEA WEEKEND. The Chapel, Gillamoor. Join us for tea, coffee, and delicious homemade cakes and scones  The beautiful front garden of Dial House, opposite the Chapel, will also be open to visitors for a donation fee of £2. All proceeds go to Gillamoor School and Church funds.

.00 - 3.00pm REGIONAL SAFEGUARDING CONFERENCE. The Yorkshire Plus region of the Methodist Church is holding a safeguarding conference for ministers and all those with safeguarding responsibilities in their churches and circuits. The theme will be 'Watching Over One Another in Love' and the day will consist of speakers and workshops. . The Sound of Silence. A district day to explore and reflect on the Cistercian tradition and the life and writings of Aelred, abbot of Rievaulx  (1147-1167)  based at the Methodist Chapel in Rievaulx with admission to the Abbey.

pm. Norton Trinity. Our next meeting of ACTION FOR CHILDREN. In the Malton end of the Circuit there has always been an Action for  Children Support group, raising funds and awareness for the work that they do. We would like this  to be a circuit wide represented group that works together. If you feel called to be part of this group, supporting families and children through AFC we would love to hear from you. We meet usually 3 / 4 times a year and have held many different kinds of events that help fund raise. For more information please contact either Rev Tanya Short or Mrs Linda Stannard for further details.  You would be most welcome!
